Watching brief by N Randall of SCAU following a 2011 evaluation revealed a feature of indeterminate date and function. Although unlikely, the possibility that the feature was a grave cut related to the former Goblin Works Saxon cemetery discovered on the adjoining site cannot be entirely discounted.
